Update:  Treemy updates newest muvs to Twitter now. Follow him at http://twitter.com/Treemy

Twitter always amazed us. The simplicity and usefulness beats everything else. The simple question – “What are you doing now?” has millions of answers. Millions of possible applications can be built over Twitter. To start with that, we have built one by ourselves for mymuv.

Read on.

We were planning this over the last weekend. We have finished a simple mymuv-twitter integration today. If you wish to let your friends in Twitter know the muv you did, just use this service. Mymuv will publish your muvs to Twitter automatically. To do this, please edit your profile and add your Twitter login.

Categories
We have added simple categories to mymuv today. Finding your favorite muv is even easier now. To start with, find the category list in the homepage.

When you are creating a muv, please select apropriate category. If you have already created many muvs, don’t worry, you can still go back and choose the right one. Happy categorizing!

mymuv goes more social

April 7, 2007

We are experimenting with a simple groups feature from today. This is a very stripped down version of a full-fledged organic group system. But the current one will let you kick start your own special interest group.

Now you can:

  • Create your own special interest group
  • Join any other interesting groups
  • Add a muvs to any of the groups you have joined
  • Meet other members in your group

Wan’t to see a group in action? Check the (cool) Soft drinks and Beverages group.

More things are about to come in this group feature. Please watch this space :)

For the last two days Treemy was busy checking what the internet is saying about mymuv. And we were busy with the next updates coming up. It’s nice to see many interesting responses about mymuv. Some of the links are here (please let me know if we missed yours):

Treemy is particuarly happy with everybody who took time to review mymuv and thanks everyone on behalf of the entire mymuv team.

mymuv launches!

March 31, 2007

Mymuv launches smoothly today. Is it a grand launch? Yeah it is. We just muved the app from beta.mymuv.com to mymuv.com and made it public.

But the interesting thing is, this is a distributed launch. We have people in Bangalore (most of them if you want to know), in London and in LA. We are thrilled about this.

We are sending the invites to the people who made entries in the invites list earlier. We thank, thank and again thank the special people who helped us in the alpha testing phase.

Are you muving yet?

We are back! We are back after a couple of day’s hangover. The question is already popping up – So what we have for you today?

Real Buddies
Now you need permission from another member if you want to add him as a buddy. We think this adds up to the value of friendship.

Watchlist
Concept of watchlist is changed little bit. Now, you can add a muv to the watchlist so that you monitors the progress of the muv. You can do this with any muv – either created by you or not.

XFN
What more to say? Our buddy list is XFN compatible.

Logged in status
Mymuv now shows the logged in status of all members.

Messaging

This is the real solid stuff in this update. You can contact any member in mymuv by sending and receiving text messages through the site.

Good news, bad news

November 15, 2006

The good news is that our servers went overloaded yesterday

And the bad news is that it gave up.

We are planning to add another server pretty soon.  At-least before we go live in the open. Will keep it posted…

mymuv reviewed at Webyantra

November 13, 2006

Amit Ranjan has given a nice review of mymuv in this Indian innovative startups blog Webyantra.net. He has excellently explained how the system works. He especially liked the ambiance and coolness of mymuv. We think that’s a big appreciation for us.
